Save the Children

You never know what they’re going to do next. They might wake you up in the middle of the night and then make you cry with laughter. They inspire us. They change us. Some of them will even change the world around us. And sometimes it’s the ones you least expect.

Kids Make The World Go Round

In collaboration with Save the Children we set about reaching a new audience.

Kids Make The World Go Round was based on a ‘Pull model’ – first leading with an engaging piece of content that our target audience could relate to, and later following up with more thought-provoking content, and a point of donation.

This was about celebrating the unparalleled place children hold in our lives and the remarkable things they can achieve – if we can get them through those fragile first few years.

Below are just a few examples from the suite of content we created.

Using original footage, and delving into the Save the Children archives, we made a number of short films with aim of bringing out the human drama in each story. We then made trailers for these stories and shared them online. Here’s a couple of examples…

People could view all the films on a microsite, where they could also learn how to go about enabling another child to survive and perhaps do great things some day.

RESULTS

There was very little precedent for this approach to fundraising. But the campaign was successful well beyond its fundraising targets.
